Hi jason -- I am a Loan Officer and a manager of other Loan Officers and I promise you that the main thing that EVERYONE wants is more communication.  There is no such thing as to much communication.  I will bookmark this entry and come back and see what Reatlors will say.  Thanks for your post.  Aloha

Hey Bruce,

I appreciate your response and I agree that better communication is more likely than not the key, but what I guess I am trying to ascertain is what does better communication mean to different Realtors.  For some agents I work with one e-mail a week is more then enough, others are three calls a day.  With the market being in transition in South Florida it seems that everyone has a bit of elevated anxiety on each transition.  I would like to design a system of transmitting information to all parties involved that would be accessible in real time 24 hours a day.  Before doing so, I would like some feed back from the professional contingency (Realtors) who I believe would get the greatest use from it.  If you have any ideas about this I would love to hear them.

I cannot comment on the realtor perspective... but honestly if I were to shop for a mortgage in the future... it would come down to price (all fees, rates considered). I would plan to shop around and best price would win, unless they did something to mess it up (like being rude, or not returning calls, or something like that.)

Hey Angie,

Thank you for responding.  I have to say though, that shopping for a mortgage based on price is one of the biggest mistakes people make.  Rates on mortgages change daily, many times they can change intraday.  For example; there have been 5 intraday reprices on mortgage rates since July 3rd.  That means for the people who were quoted a rate on July 2nd or in the morning of July 3rd their rate quote was null and void by close of business on the 3rd.  If I may; I suggest you read my blog titled An Insiders Guide on How to Shop for a Mortgage and watch the video clip I attaced as well.
