I have been investing in real estate full time for the past 5 years and love to share what I've learned and what I'm doing.
So, I started a real estate blog with free information, tips and resources! The great thing about blogging is that you can reach so many people. I also do coaching and mentoring but one-on-one is much more time consuming than reaching out through my blog.
Karen's Perspective, my real estate blog, was born out of a desire to share information and I share mostly about real estate as that's what I'm involved with day in and day out.
On my real estate blog, you will find articles on an array of topics such as buying, selling, foreclosures, lease options, auctions, $8000 tax credit, financing, home values, negotiating, short sales, inspections, HUD, escrow, comps, city ordinances... You get the idea. If it relates to real estate, I've probably written about it there.
I have literally hundreds of posts now on Karen's Perspective. I'm currently having my site redesigned and the new site will also show my available properties. Right now, my for sale or lease properties are available to view at BuyNCTriad.com.
I also have tips on being green like Phone Books, how can you stop receiving them? and ways to give back like Charity Water.
I have written hundreds of posts. Since I started my real estate blog and began posting 3-4 times per week, I've found that I very much love the writing. Researching takes a lot of time but seeing that people need and are using the information is so rewarding.
In the beginning... I thought I would target real estate investors with a real estate blog, but I have so many people who don't invest asking me questions that I have made my blog much more general. I'm always surprised when one of my tenants mentions a post to me! So many of them actually read my blog regularly!
Some of my recent posts include Short Sale Changes - April 2010, and Produce the Note - pro-active steps when facing foreclosure.
My current efforts for my real estate blog involve finding ways to drive traffic to the site. Do you blog? Do you have a lot of readers?
The wonderful thing about blogging is it's a whole new way to share what you know and to give what you have. You don't even have to leave the comforts of your own home. Technology can be daunting, but the opportunities it gives us to reach out to others is limitless.
