So you're going to sell your Owasso house. And it's time to pick an Owasso Realtor. And you probably know several Owasso Realtors. You may even have an Owasso Realtor in your family. But who to pick? All Owasso Realtors are pretty much the same right?

Sure, all Owasso Realtors have access to the MLS and to Realtor.com and most of us have our own websites and we are licensed and trained in the required classes, but in today's world that may be all that many Owasso Realtors have in common. Sometimes, when I'm searching through the MLS, I cannot believe that home sellers would settle for such horrible pictures of their homes. This is inexcusable. If your Owasso Realtor hasn't provided high quality, exceptional pictures, you should ask them to re shoot the pictures and re post them. Pictures are a good example of what separates good Owasso Real Estate agents from those who are great. Great agents provide incredible pictures of their listings. And why wouldn't they? You do want your home to look great to prospective buyers right?
How about online marketing? Your Owasso Realtor understands how Social Media works right? And they're blogging with SEO, tags, placement, dedicated blogs and syndication, right? And they have your listing on the top websites across the nation rather than just on Realtor.com, right? Good agents market homes in the old tired ways - newspaper, the company website and maybe Homes and Land or Realtor.com and the Owasso Reporter. Great Owasso Realtors are able to put the listing into maximum exposure across the Internet along with the traditional marketing systems. Can your Owasso Realtor intentionally cause your listing to pop up in the top 1-5 Google search results by address, subdivision or other criteria? If not, why not?
Speaking of Social Media, is your Owasso Realtor on Facebook and Twitter? How about Posterous and Google Adwords? Do they have a fan page or are they working one in some way or other? Your Owasso Realtor understands Wordpress and what it means for the power of marketing homes, right? They do understand how this all ties together, right? And they do have a Smart phone so that they can receive their texts, emails, updates, phone calls and notifications, right? Great agents are able to keep tabs on their business whether they are at their computer or not. Not a big deal you say? Well consider this...I got a lead on a million dollar deal while out of town recently. I was able to follow up on that lead thanks to the intentional use of technology. Had I been representing that seller, I might have missed that possible sale. In fact, I got the lead because the listing agent missed the contact and failed to follow up. Bummer for them.
Great Owasso Realtors are connected to the largest online community of Realtors across America. I'm not talking about Realtor.com here. I won't give you the name of the website because great Owasso Realtors already know it. Ask your Realtor for the name!
Another aspect of top notch Owasso Realtors is that they understand how to market themselves in such a way so that if someone is looking for them on Google, they can be found...and dominate the search results. Not important you think? Well, if your agent can't or won't dominate in their own search results, then how aggressive do you think they will be in marketing your property? Something to think about. To find the great Owasso Realtors, just Google their name with no city. What do you see? Great agents own that Google search. For that matter, any business or organization that understands how to utilize social media marketing will own that Google search!
Finally, let me leave you with this. There is a massive shift happening in the world of real estate right now. And that shift is in embracing technology and new marketing systems. Far too many Owasso Realtors are dragging behind and not keeping up with how to market homes in incredible ways in today's world. And given the state of our current housing market and economy, do you really want your home being represented by someone who is just fumbling around or by someone who has mastered the power of Social media and the Internet.
