Credit Repair, To do or not to do? Do it and quit whining!!!!

In the last several months I have had more credit challenged applicants than ever before.  If they are salvagable, which most are to some degree, then I refer them to credit repair.

Now just like the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but you can't always make him drink.

If you are a person who is credit challenged you need to decide just how important it is for you to purchase a home.  If it is very important, then be pro-active and take the advice of a mortgage professional like myself and go forward with the professional credit repair.  I am not talking about the do it yourself kind of credit repair where you get online and dispute everything on your credit report.  If it was that easy, then there wouldn't be such a huge credit repair industry out there.

You need professional credit repair from a reputable credit repair company.  This is not a time to scrimp and cheap out.  This is the time to bite the bullet, maybe stop eating out for a while and limit your un-necessary expenses and really get the professional help that you need.  If you are not willing to lay low on the spending for long enough to complete a credit repair cycle, then maybe you are not ready for the responsibility of home ownership.  I am not trying to be harsh here, and sometimes the truth hurts.  The good credit scores out there did not come from spending more than you make or not having the restraint to save for items that you want instead of charging them and then not having the funds to pay the bill later.

If you are someone that truly had a life event that caused you to have credit issues, this post is not directed at you, this is directed at those that decided that it was just too easy to bail on the credit cards and too easy to not pay the utility bill after you moved out of that last place, or you didn't finish school so you don't think you should have to pay off the student loan, and don't even get me started on that child support.  If you did the crime there then you definitely need to do the time.  You know who you are.

Time to quit whining and get it together, and if you are willing to do that then I am willing to work with you to get you where you need to be and get that financing in place for your new home.
