I still got it!

My 6 year old son wanted to play my GITARI with me tonight and he said he could beat me. For those of you don't know what that is, it what my son calls Atari. For some reason he can't say the name.

So I challenged him to Asteroids and I WHOMPED his butt! I still had six guys when the score turned over at 99,999 and went back to zero! Now, my butt still hurts 30 minutes later from sitting on the ground in front of the TV. I don't remember that part from when I was a kid, but I still had fun and my kids think our games are too easy - lol

Old gaming systems are fun.  My newphew came over and I whipped him at Super Mario Bros on the old NES.

He then brought over the Nintendo Wii, and crushed me.

All fun with technology.

lol Todd - I LOVED Astroids! Boy that takes me back and good for you on still having it! I got my nephew the system that came out that has all those "Oldies by goodies" on them and I still intend to get one for my own house at some point.

The games these kids play now-a-days just make me dizzy :). I like the OLD Frogger, the OLD Pac Man and the OLD Donkey Kong!

Hey!  I had an Atari!  One of my favorite games was "Pitfall" followed closely by "Q-Bert" and "Pong"...Do you have those?

Oh that is some serious memories! We also had a diamond shaped thing with four colors that you had to hit in order that the colors flashed. Do you remember that? No wonder our hand-eye co-ordination is nothing like kids today!

LOL....I remember playing Atari when I was a kid.  We played Pac-Man, Asteroids, Donkey Kong and another one that had planes that you would fly and would blow up stuff....can't remember the name of it.

I sure wish I had my old Atari.  I still haven't gotten the hang of Xboxes, Nintendos, or any of this new gaming stuff.

Becky- that would be Galazia- I'm spelling it wrong, but that was my ultimate favorite game. Boy Todd I can't believe you still have one, that's awesome.

Danielle you diamond shaped game was simon says- loved that one too. That one you can still get at the stores. Now that you mention it got to go get one now, my daughter would love it.

Thanks for the memories Todd.

Gary - Don't feel bad, both my son and daughter beat me at Mario Cart, I was even trying to play without mercy. That isn't what I told them though - lol

Jennifer - Only the original Donkey Kong - The newer versions SUCK! I got excited when I saw it on the Nitendo game system and it wasn't like I remembered it.

Mary - I already feel like an old man. I went swimming in the pool with the kids and then next morning all my muscles hurt.

Jonathan - I didn't have that one on my Atari, but that was my favorite game on my Commodore 64. My wife just informed me we have Pitfall somewhere for the Atari, it was hers.

Todd or Danielle - It was Simon and I can so take my kids on that, just give me a chance! Our hand eye coordination from those games is what gives us the ability to slap them upside the head before they can even react.

Becky - Canyon bomber was a game where you fly, but it was more like breakout.

Todd - We pulled ours out during the move when my daughter saw it and asked what is a "AT-TRA-RI" - So I slapped her upside the head for making me feel old and pulled it out and let the kids play it.

Jeannette - You don't throw sweet pieces of technology like that away if it still works. The funny part is my kids are playing it on a 1984 Commodore 64 monitor that still works.

Bryant - I hope! My goals is to be a roll model to my kids and be like my parents and have the kids consider you their best friend. My dad gets calls from all four of us every day. Last year I missed two days and he razed me about that.
