With interest rates near historic lows, interest rates for the Making Home Affordable Program are still running under 5%.   These programs have several layers of guidelines that makes a phone call a necessity to find out the exact rate and fee for your particular situation. 

Here's what been we have been closing so far this year.  Refinancing and paying off your existing first mortgage loan, with the option to roll closing costs into the new loan.  If you are currently are not paying mortgage insurance, or took out a first and second mortgage combination loan, you have the best chance of getting a refinance done under these programs. 

The ones that are next to impossible are when you are currently paying mortgage insurance or have lender paid mortgage insurance on your current loan.
