Wickford Village - North Kingstown RI 02852 has many side streets to meander down to soak up the bay side homes & historic residences of long ago. Always a 'hot' and frequently requested area to live in & as a realtor clients are drawn to this wonderful locale for many reasons: history, ambiance, laid back life style, in village & walking distance to stores, Narragansett Bay, Wickford Harbor, boating, & more. Certainly in South County RI you will not find a more treasured place to be a homeowner and have all of the above around you like in Wickford Village.
As you go down Main Street, past the Faberge colored historic homes, and go left on Fowler Street, you'll find a pristine area of homes and walking streets if you're out for house viewing and good exercise. Now most of the waterfront homes are one street over on Pleasant Street ( my next blog), you will find an in town 'feel' to this village area of Wickford. There is a good walking/driving loop to explore the smaller cottages in this side area so waiting to be scooped up if they come on the real estate market, as well as renovated and newer homes down Ocean Avenue, Enfield Avenue, Esmond Avenue and Pond Street.
Less I forget to mention that Wickford Marina is on the loop here on Esmond Avenue in Wickford Village. A great place to have a boat slip and enjoy the Narragansett Bay waters from here whether you are a power boater or a sailor. It's an easy cruise to Jamestown or Newport RI. This area is a boating mecca to appreciate...no boat condominiums here yet though.
