Another Lender Down...What A Mess!

Look out...duck...I hear it coming, but I don't see it...OK, it's that one...no, can't be, I just....

Another day, another lender down.  It sure is getting messy around here.  It seems like just the other day they came calling on me.  Yes, and that other broker and the guy who could get ANYBODY a loan.  Too bad most of them went up without a parachute.  They seem to hit hard when they land.  Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.  After all you got another sale.  He was so sincere and the buyers were so gratefull.  Look out, here comes another, get under the desk.  You know, he did bring those great oatmeal raisin cookies you love so much. How bad could he have been?

As I drive through the old neighborhood where I was an on-site agent, I just shake my head.  There are at least ten for sale signs, with very little hope and five foreclosures.  It's sad. All they wanted was to own a home.  Now they are homeless or soon to be.  Their formerly smiling lender is out of work without many prospects.  Of course the solid lenders who would not make those loans are still here and will be for a long time.  And look how it's affected the stock market recently, and as a result, your 401K.  Time will heal all and hopefully we all learned a lesson or two.

Well Dale, it's not my area.  It was American Home last week.  Now it looks like Countrywide is in serious trouble.

I just readed that Country Wide has buckled up for the ride and have not filed bankrutcy yet. It probably won't affect the borrowers of Country Wide.
