Well the news about real estate keeps getting worse. IF you keep listening to the news thats what you can expect to hear. The fact is that the media is driving consumers away. Things are slow, but August is always a slow month for our office. We have had a pretty good year so far. In fact in January we had our best month ever! Homes are moving, they just aren't moving the way they did a few years ago. Thats fine we just have to understand things have slowed down. It takes on average 3 months to sell a home now. However there are exceptions to every rule. We have some homes that have sold in as little as a week. Its just comes down to that specific person who absolutely wants it. The price doesn't hurt either. I think things will remain slow until the end of this year, and sellers are going to want more open houses to lure potential buyers in the door. Our area has not seen the major decline like some of the other places have. So keep that in mind when looking. Be prepared to make a reasonable offer. Sellers are still not ready to give away their homes. So keep looking you'll find what your looking for. The Internet is a great place to start. Go to my website at www.teamyerkes.com, and click on my picture and register yourself. It free and totally at you own pace. Hope to hear from you soon.
