ELECTION OF OFFICERS:
The Missouri Chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® is pleased to announce the election of the following members as its 2011 Missouri State Chapter Officers:
- President – Carol Harris (Kansas City Northland Chapter)
- President-Elect – Jan Thomas (Metropolitan St. Louis Chapter)
- Treasurer – Donna Joerling (St. Charles County Chapter)
- Secretary – Michelle Silies (Metropolitan St. Louis Chapter)
- Governor – Caroleen Ferrell (South Central Missouri Chapter)
WCR Missouri President Barbara commented “We are fortunate to have such an incredible pool of talented real estate professionals to assist our chapters in growing their membership and delivering quality educational programs.” “The successful candidates offered a clear vision for the organization and are uniquely qualified to assist real estate professionals in growing their business in today’s uncertain real estate market,” she added.
Ms. Thomas commented “I am honored to be elected President-Elect for the Missouri Women’s Council of the REALTORS®.” Ms. Thomas continued “Missouri REALTORS® help thousands of Americans achieve the dream of home ownership. Today, real estate professionals face unique economic challenges. The State Chapter is here to assist our local chapters in developing future industry leaders and in delivering great educational programs to assist our members in growing their businesses. I look forward to carrying on these traditions.”
Michelle Silies commented “I am overwhelmed by the support received from our chapter and am proud to represent St. Louis on the Governing Board of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®.” Ms. Silies added “As a new member (joining the Women’s Council of REALTORS® in 2007), it is a deep honor to be elected. I look forward to carrying on the great WCR traditions and am honored to have the opportunity to work with our state leaders to advance our common goals. The Women’s Council of REALTORS® provides its members with the inspiration, the power and the action to grow their business and to make a difference in their profession and community.”
Elizabeth Robb, President of the Metropolitan St. Louis Chapter, congratulated Jan Thomas and Michelle Silies on their election to the State Governing Board saying “It was exciting to see the energy, enthusiasm and expertise offered by all of the candidates in this election. I am confident that Jan will use the depth of her experience to ably lead the State Chapter to meet the challenges we are facing in our profession. Similarly, I am certain that Michelle will bring a renewed enthusiasm and energy to the position and will assist the State Chapter in using technological solutions to better serve the local chapters and their members.” Ms. Robb added “Congratulations to all members of the St Louis Women's Council. It is such an honor to have two state officers elected from our membership. Our Council is working together to achieve common goals and to assist each member in achieving personal and professional growth. We look forward to great things from these two leaders.”
TECHNOLOGY TASK FORCE:
The Governing Board of the Missouri Chapter voted to create a Technology Task Force. WCR-MO President Barbara Keathley appointed Ryan Shaughnessy as 2010 Chair of the Technology Task Force. At the business meeting, the Technology Task Force unveiled the new WCR Missouri website - www.wcrmo.org.
