Monday Madness - Give Up And Join In The Mayhem!

"Why me?" we wail in despair. Because my darling, it's Monday.

Ah, Monday! That most gloriously loathed and maliciously maligned beginning day of the week. We complain, whine, snivel, bellyache, rant, rave and shout at the heavens in our frustration. "Arrrg!" We piratically growl, "It's Monday!"

Why not switch it around?

"WHAT???" you gasp in horror, "Have Monday's be a GOOD day? Surely you jest?"

No, my stereotypically steeped friend, I do not. What if instead of dreading the coming of the work week, we viewed it as a new beginning? Viewing Monday as a gold mine of opportunities and exciting challenges, instead of the traditionally despised dragging of ones self back to our weekly servitude of the common man, changes everything.

So, can a small (for some people, a large!) attitude adjustment really make such a massive difference? You bet your bahooky it can! Having a positive attitude makes all the difference in the world. It's like the difference between having a lint covered, old lollipop that you found in your pocket . . . after you washed your jeans, and having someone give you the key to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory and telling you to go nuts. It changes everything.

Life is what you make of it, which means the world is your apple. You get to decide if it is a golden one. . . or if it is rotten and full of worms. You are the only one with the power to decide how your life is going to turn out, not me, not your mom and most definitely not Dr. Phil! (And yes, I do have a marked dislike of the man, but since hostility is my friend and ever cheerful companion, it's OK.) ;)

Go on, join in the revolution that is Monday! Grab your superstitious fears and pessimistic attitudes with both hands, smash them into a ball, and get ready for a whole new ball game! You make the rules for the New Monday, so let your aptitudes shine and prepare to dazzle them with your best game face and lightening pitch.

Join the mayhem and I'll see you at the after party. ;)

Phly, Another great positive post.  I'm not much of a rah rah guy, but I enjoy your stuff.

You might want to consider allowing the reblog feature so that those of us that find you might be able to try to get you more exposure?  We don't have a ton of clout, but every little bit helps!

Bill - I thought I enabled the re-blog feature. . . . but apparently not! Hummmm.....I'll have to work on that.

About the rah-rah stuff, it's because it fits my personality rather well . . . and because I once had a friend tell me that since you can't always win in life, you can commit bloody murder by smothering everyone around you with blinding, brainless optimism! . . . and this is where I claim no responsibility due to over consumption of pomegranate Italian soda and pita chips with hummus. (aka dinner) ;)

Hope your Monday was fantastic! ;)

Phly,

I can count on you for a good smile!  The smothering comment is hilarious.  Maybe you should start a Happy, Happy Joy Joy group!  You'd probably get a ton of people to join!  It's the natural mind state of MOST agents (with some pretty notable exceptions!).  Yesterday's snit fit about the state/local page change was hilarious!

Monday was great, and today won't be bad either  Snapped a shot of a nice sunrise this morning (it's on my morning post).  There was even a bit of a rainbow on the way to the day job, but too faint to try to snap a shot (besides, driving 70+ isn't conducive to snapping pix with the phone!!)

Interesting meal selection for you!

The reblog box is under Settings.  Just make sure you check the Allow Reblog box and you should be set!

Your blogs are such downers...  I love mondays, so I can start the week in a bad mood...

HAHAHAHAHA!  Love it, I was out Monday and missed this one.  Next post, make sure you throw something at me.  :)

I love Mondays, and actually I love my job.  So when I come to work, I seem to get everyone around me to smile.  I kinda think you have the same effect on people too!  Have a awesome rest of the dog-gone-day!
