An agent in my office was telling me about an upscale listing she has in a beautiful wooded setting outside of Middleton. She said some buyers had looked at the home, loved it and made a special request. They were willing to pay $200.00 per night and they wanted to spend a couple of nights in the house before possibly writing an offer. The sellers easily and quickly agreed. In the recent market, we know sellers are willing to do much more than they used to accommodate a potential buyers. The two of us were laughing as Jill said she now had an expanded job description: Pajama Party Organizer. This went into the "now I have heard everything!" category.
However, as I mentioned this to a friend who sells resort and vacation properties, he said, "oh yeah-I have had that kind of a request quite a few times." He went on to say that more than 50% of the people that are allowed to spend the night, end up buying the place.
Isn't this great? Makes me want to set my imagination free and think of even more ideas to help get sellers and buyers together. And not enough can ever be said of the value of networking with other realtors!
