Put your listings on YouTube for FREE!

A couple of days ago I watched a virtual tour of a home on YouTube ….

I thought WOW! I should be able to do that too!

So I set to work figuring this out, I already had virtual tours with music on my own website, but these only had url links I tried and couldn’t load that onto YouTube

Now What?

I began searching on Google (I love the web what a wealth of information) anyway after some trial and error, I found what I was looking for; Picasa.

Okay so there was a little bit of a learning curve my first movie had no music. Boring!

My second movie had 7 minutes of music Ugh! So I deleted both of those promptly.

The mission was on I had to find music (FREE music)

for power point and slide presentations. What I found was this http://www.brainybetty.com/soundsforpowerpoint.htm

and yes the music was FREE, there was only one little problem the music was midi format hmmmm? How could I make these files into mp3 so I could I upload them opnto YouTube and have music too????? Again another great site http://media-convert.com/ I was able to convert files from midi to MP3 format, plus tons of other conversions…

Then I posted my virtual tours on YouTube!

That’s my geek for the week!

Has anyone else tried using Picasa? Or maybe you know of something better? Or just maybe you have a much easier way of putting slide videos on YouTube….

Feedback is always great!

I use picasa for all my photos and videos.  It has some pretty cool features and tricks once you spend some time with it, and the price is right!  One of the features I use alot is the 'gift cd' feature which allows you to take a folder of pics and put them onto a cd as a slide show.  I often create those from our vacations or special events and give to friends who were with us.  It is a cool way to share your pics.

I also get lots of free prints and goodies from this place, often I just pay the shipping:  ARTSCOW.COM

Shannon - Thanks, just when I was thinking it was safe to back into the water, along some another great marketing idea!  However, I learned my lesson with microwaves, I'm not waiting until they perfect them before getting involved.  I use all the tools I can, if they make sense and are appropriate to the market I'm trying to reach.

Great Post Shannon!

Picassa is a nice little photo program and makes posting your pics to blogger quicker as well.

Visit our Salem Estate Youtube Channel here and friend us if your on there as well. We beleive the Value of youtube is really not in advertising real estate. http://www.YouTube.com/SalemRealEstate

We focus on education with our Youtube channel and we'll be expanding it to also give some relo information but I just wanted to share I find YouTube is a great social media tool for hosting property videos but let's be honest FEW, if any people go there to do property searches. Most viewers will really be agent searching and idea buying once they disccover most if not all of the properties are dated.

Anyway, you may get some ideas from our channel as well. Youtube is a great networking place. Also If your posting marketing samples then using the embed codes once a video is hosted to place them elsewhere can really bring your social media presence together on other social sites you belong to.

Check out Mashables post on using annotation. It's a great basic intro showing beginners how to use them effectively.

If your looking for tools to build marketing videos that impress try OneTrueMedia.com and Animoto.com - create slick promo and property videos very inexpensively in NO TIME AT ALL!

Hope the information is helpful.

The my way is to go to PoweredTemplate.com for free PoweprPoint templates http://www.poweredtemplate.com/free-ppt-powerpoint-templates.html.
Creating presentation and upload it to Slideshare.net.

This better, because you don't have to muzz yourself with this convertation from PowerPoint to video.
Usually a I got the URLs of my presentations and send them to my clients.
That's the way I do this :)
