Speechless Sunday - Pretty Please Buy My House!

By
Real Estate Agent with McGraw Realtors

With a tough housing market, some folks are becoming desparate to sell their houses.  I was driving in Tulsa the other day, when I came across this sign, posted in front of a house on a busy street.

At first, I thought the sign was a Real Estate sign, but upon closer examination, I found this was not true.

Can you read what the sign say's?  No?

How about now?

The sign say's, "Pretty Please Buy My House!"

You gotta feel sorry for the homeowner.  Hopefully, someone will come along soon and buy the house!

It may be desperate, but at least it's honest marketing!

Bob ~ now that is some creative marketing and thinking outside the box.  At least, like you say, it is honest marketing.

To sell a product you have to get your target's attention. This sign works. That sign says what many real estate agents hope every time they obtain a new listing!

Did you knock on the door and ask to see the home? They certainly put it out there, don't you think?

It's sad that they haven't listened to a Realtor® with regard to staging and pricing. It looks like they are looking to get hammered by someone. Go back and list that property, Bob.

HA!  I did that one time when we were trying to sell our truck.  No interest whatsoever until I posted it and had the title read - "Someone Please Buy Me!  I Need A Good Home."  Tons of response on the ad and sold within two days where it had been on the market for weeks prior.  Maybe conicidence....

I, too, hope the seller gets an offer soon.

Bob, Oh my goodness. Can you imagine doing that? I know someone did … but can you imagine being at the point of placing a sign like that in the yard. It is out of the box creative ... I hope it works!

Bob,

A creative touch. Sometimes that all it takes in marketing. :)
