On August 27th, Fremont PD Officer Todd Young was shot twice and critically wounded in Oakland while attempting to serve a domestic violence warrant on a documented gang member. Officer Todd Young lost 60 pints of blood before surgeons could stop the bleeding. Officer Young has been transfused 10 times and is in ICU in serious but stable condition, facing more surgeries. Officer Young is expected to make a full recovery.
The Shasta County Sheriff Office & County Employees, Redding Police Department & City Employees, Anderson Police Department & City Employees, California Highway Patrol have coordinated with Keller Williams Redding to Host a blood drive for wounded officer Todd Young.
Monday Sept 20th the Blood Mobile will be at Keller Williams Realty, 2150 Churn Creek (across from Fedex) Join us or you can donate blood at Blood Source facility located at 1880 Park Marina Drive in Redding from 9am to 2pm.
Blood Source is also available anytime Tues, Wed & Thurs from 12pm to -6pm and Friday from 8am to 1pm. The code designated for Officer Young is (X129).
