Meantime

We are always working on deals, transactions, listings and closings. We are working today on things that will happen in the days or weeks to come. There is your sphere of influence list, your sellers of active listings, your buyers and of course, marketing campaigns.  The day that these events take place are significant in our business, especially the day of closing.   As Realtors, the day of closing is really just one event in a long list of events leading up to that day. There are also some touches to make after closing. I want to introduce a new word that I learned called: meantime.

When the process gets going there’s the meantime.  I’m not working non-stop, but touching things every now and again. In the meantime, I’m setting up an inspection, speaking with the mortgage lender. What I do in the meantime depends on if I’m working for the buyer or seller. I must show up to work and touch each transaction to see what is needed next.

I should also say that life is full of “meantime” experiences. We have things that we look forward to like the weekend!  In the meantime (during the work week) we show up each day and work hard for the next event/payday!

Sometimes, the meantime is a tough place to be. It looks as if nothing is really happening, even though there are lots of things happening. I must be patient in the meantime. I must not give up in the meantime. I must be consistent and work hard in the meantime because one day soon the meantime for this event will be over and another one begins. Life is full of “meantime”. We might as well figure out what to do with it.  What d you do with your meantime?

Pressing on in the meantime!
