Ruth's Chris Steak House Huntsville Alabama...Real Estate Or Restaurants...It's All About The Service

It really doesn't matter what your chosen profession is, what matters is the knowledge you exhibit and the level of service you extend in your endeavors.  As real estate agents we strive to keep current of new laws, changes in the market, new technologies through continuing education, knowing our product and area.  That's not enough!  We also work very hard at providing the best possible service to our clients.  From thorough explanation of the process to truly acting in our clients best interest above our own in the most timely fashion.

Okay, so what does this have to do with Ruth's Chris' Steak House...a lot!

Ruth's Chris Steak House Huntsville Alabama

I've been to Ruth's Chris' Steak House several times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the service.  Those three things keep me as a satisfied and returning customer at Ruth's Chris or any other business where I leave my money.  The same applies to real estate...if you provide your client an atmosphere where they are comfortable, the product they are looking for and great service...they'll be happy and return to you again and again.

Ruth's Chris Steak House Huntsville Alabama

Recently I met my wife at Ruth's Chris' Steak House for lunch.  We were seated immediately, ordered drinks then meals shortly after.  So far so good, but things were about to change. I don't plan to give you a play by play description of the events that followed, but what I want to tell you is that my wife had all but finished her meal before I got mine.  Very frustrating...my meal came 50 minutes after I ordered...it was a cheeseburger for your information.  Now, my family and myself included have been in the restaurant business in some way since the early 1920's and one thing I can tell you for certain about the restaurant business is that things happen!  No matter how hard you try to provide the best product and give the best service...things happen.  It's how you handle the mess once it's in your lap...just like real estate.

Aside from a sincere apology from the manager and wait staff the issue was resolved by the Manager "Ray" comping both meals and drinks.  He also included desert which we declined and free appetizers for our next visit.  I really didn't want to accept the free meals, because after all I was going to enjoy them eventually so I declined, but Ray would not have...the entire meal was on the house.  And by the way, I still left a tip...hey, things happen.  Ray did everything possible to make it right...I'll go back again and again because of the atmosphere, the quality of the food, the service and because things happen...it's how you handle the mess once it's in your lap.

Nick...have heard about this restaurant and it was always with high praise; but you are most gracious in the way you handled your particular situation.   Are they not noted for their great steaks?  Though I don't eat red meat
[not a Veggie, but red meat does not like me], I still love the smell and look of a steak.

Another  photo 'look' at a place that many probably would not see in person.
Great story--and you are a Good man.

Have a great Friday and a good weekend.

Barb & Sal-yes, they are noted for their steaks and they are wonderful.  As for the "good man" comment, thank you, but you might want to reserve judgment there until you get to know me better!  Hope you guys also have a great weekend...colors should be changing soon for you.

Beth, Kathy did tell me you were going...sounds like I missed a good opportunity.  Being in Hot 'lanta with two lovely ladies trying to stay out of trouble is the opportunity of which I speak ;))

I have never heard of this restaurant-I guess we don't have them up here.  However this is very high praise for them and you handled this situation very well as did they.  Sounds like they have a permanent customer in you.  If I ever have the opportunity to visit them I definitely will as well.

Nick that is what customer service is all about.  Because they took care of things in that manner, those two free meals will come back to them many times over.  It is to bad that more business don't handle things in that manor.

Nick, I've been to several Ruth's Chris Rest in another lifetime, and also several Morton's, both similar, yet I like Morton's a bit more. Service is what it's all about, and it's the thing that makes or breaks a business. I would have been real hot under the collar waiting almost an hour for a cheeseburger. Did someone lose the recipe?

Dawn-if you like steak you should go...they do have some sea food dishes.

Ellen-I agree that they are very good, but I tend to give the nod to Morton's like Ed.

Debra-thanks and give them a try...they are national.

George-you know...it doesn't matter what business your in...many times the only thing that separates one business from an identical one (in the same field) is the level of service.

Ed-don't misunderstand me...I wasn't happy in the least, but two things kept me from going ballistic over this; first is that I was wearing my name tag and the second was that these people were preparing my meal...as in...out of sight...as in...well you might be surprised what sometimes "accidentally" ends up in the food of a complaining customer.

I don't think they lost the recipe...I just think the cow was still too young to butcher!!
