FINE ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL IN WOODSTOCK, CT. This weekend is the 28th annual Fine Arts and Crafts Festival at Roseland Cottage in Woodstock, CT. The festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, October 16 and 17, from 10:00 to 4:30, rain or shine.
One of the leading juried shows in New England, the Fine Arts and Crafts Festival includes over 175 artists, as well as live music and food booths. Admission is $5 per person and children under 12 are free. The festival offers a full day of fun, including free admission to the 1846 Roseland Cottage. For more information, call 860-372-4074.
You will see extraordinary creations by many different types of artists and artisans, including potters, photographers, weavers, jewelry designers, metal artists, woodcarvers, etc. One of my favorites is Susan Gerr of Birch Mountain Pottery in Tolland, CT. Susan is an amazing artist, who creates beautiful and functional pottery and teaches classes in her studio. The mug at the right is an example of her work, but there is so much more to see at her studio at 223 Merrow Road in Tolland, Ct or on her website where you can find pictures of her work or information about classes and schedules.
It's going to be a beautiful weekend, and there's no better place to spend it than at the FINE ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL in Woodstock, CT!
Be sure to check out Birch Mountain Pottery and all the other fine artists and artisans at the Fine Arts and Crafts Festival, Saturday and Sunday, in Woodstock, CT.
