What to do on your bicycle this Halloween Weekend
The Cascade Bicycle Club is the premier bicycle club of the Puget Sound area and there are rides sponsored almost every day. The organization is instrumental in getting municipalities to designate certain streets as bike friendly and goes to great lengths to promote bike commuting and safe biking for everyone.
They have three fun rides scheduled for this Halloween weekend.
- SEARCH FOR THE GREAT PUMPKIN 10:00 AM Friday Oct 29, 2010 - a 25-30 mile, moderate paced ride with some hills, ending with a lunch stop at Remlinger Farms. Meet at Tolt McDonald Park , NE 40th Street and Tolt Ave. Carnation, WA.
- PEDALING FOR POSTHUMOUS PASTURES 10:00 AM Saturday, Oct 30, 2010 - A 30 mile ride, moderate paced, some hills, cemetery exploration. Meet at Burnett Linear Park, 502 Burnett Ave S. Renton, WA
- CELEBRITY BONES Noon Sunday 25 mile leisurely paced ride, some hills, snack stop and visit to Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, site of the Jimi Hendrix grave. South Bellevue Park and Ride, 2700 Bellevue Way SE, Bellevue, WA
Join the Cascade Bicycle Club. More club rides in more areas than you can shake a tire pump at.
