Blogging Daze

By

woman with a winding tab in her backI know that many of you can pound out posts in short order and every so often a post of mine writes itself. But more often it takes me a couple of hours or more, or I get pulled into research and spend loads of time digging through web sites, watching videos, commenting on blogs, etc.

Before I know it the hours have whizzed by.

Sunday night takes the cake though.

It was Halloween and since my house isn't Halloween ready (don't want the trick or treaters tripping on my walkway) I stayed away until it was safe to return.

When I walked in to the house at 9:00 pm I had some blogging to do.  It was the final day of the 31 day challenge on the Real Estate Tomato and I had a couple of blogs to post.

It seems I never got up from my seat.

Just before 1:00 am I turned off the lights and headed towards bed.

But when I got to the hall I realized, to my dismay, that the front door was wide open with the keys in the doorknob - and it had been that way for four hours.  It wasn't open to the elements - at least not all of them - since it opens to an enclosed porch.  But the porch windows were open and I - wimp that I am - had turned on the heat when I got home. Four hours of heating the great outdoors - bummer!

Worse yet though, when I got upstairs and looked in the bathroom mirror a ghoul looked back at me.  Turns out that the pen I had been chewing on all night was leaking black ink.  From my mouth to my chin - all black.

So I scrubbed my face, headed off to bed, and resolved to try to get this blogging thing under control.

Liz, I can empathize with your story and energy drain.  Would have been great to see a photo of your hands or face with the ink!

Great cartoon.  If only we all did have a wind up knob on our backs to be turned when we are spent.  Oh and cats, they sure know how to ensure they get feed,  only so much meows one can put up with when you know all you have to do is put more food in their bowl!

Gosh, hats off to you for being able to write a post everyday!!

Liz - I bet the cold outside appreciated the heat.  I still have my AC on, I was able to turn it off a few weeks ago, but then it started getting too hot again.  Stay Warm!  P.S. It takes me a while to write a majority of my blogs even the simply ones.

Oh boy.  That is a little scary, Liz.  Don't let the blogging elfs do that to you any more.  Remember, you are in control.

Hi Gloria ~ Nobody was getting that photo believe me - ha!! I scared myself.

Hi Michelle ~ AC - ha!! Unreal.  How quickly we forget here - believe me - it was barely more than a month ago that I was complaining about the heat.

Hi Jane ~ The blogging elfs huh? Good one.  Now I know who to blame!

I can’t believe you still chew on pens. I broke that habit 37 years ago in college. However, I still bite my fingernails. J

Your ability to concentrate is strong.  Most agents would have been distracted in that period of time.  I know I would have gone for at least one snack, or my dog would have needed some attention in four hours.  I am glad you are in a safe part of Cambridge.
