I know that many of you can pound out posts in short order and every so often a post of mine writes itself. But more often it takes me a couple of hours or more, or I get pulled into research and spend loads of time digging through web sites, watching videos, commenting on blogs, etc.
Before I know it the hours have whizzed by.
Sunday night takes the cake though.
It was Halloween and since my house isn't Halloween ready (don't want the trick or treaters tripping on my walkway) I stayed away until it was safe to return.
When I walked in to the house at 9:00 pm I had some blogging to do. It was the final day of the 31 day challenge on the Real Estate Tomato and I had a couple of blogs to post.
It seems I never got up from my seat.
Just before 1:00 am I turned off the lights and headed towards bed.
But when I got to the hall I realized, to my dismay, that the front door was wide open with the keys in the doorknob - and it had been that way for four hours. It wasn't open to the elements - at least not all of them - since it opens to an enclosed porch. But the porch windows were open and I - wimp that I am - had turned on the heat when I got home. Four hours of heating the great outdoors - bummer!
Worse yet though, when I got upstairs and looked in the bathroom mirror a ghoul looked back at me. Turns out that the pen I had been chewing on all night was leaking black ink. From my mouth to my chin - all black.
So I scrubbed my face, headed off to bed, and resolved to try to get this blogging thing under control.
