Chandler Events -
Chandler’s Tumbleweed Park will host, the City's inaugural Chuck Wagon Cook-Off, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010.
This is a family friendly event featuring music, a petting zoo, historic home tours, hay rides, horse rides, and hands-on activities for kids. Admission, parking and most activities are free. The hay and horse rides and all food and beverages are not free.
Old West culinary competition - each team will prepare foods from their authentic chuck wagons and use cooking methods and utensils in the style of those used in 1880s cattle drives. Judging is taking place at noon. Meals will be available to purchase at $10 per plate, while smaller samples are $2.
Musical entertainment will be provided throughout the day by Marshal Pioneer Pepper and the Sunset Pioneers. At 10 a.m., local singer Laurie Fagen will perform.
If you want your children to experience some culture bring them to this out of the ordinary event.
