What Price Widgets: Why do Widgets come with so many cautions.

I think Widgets are a good thing but I'm not sure they are for an average Joe like me.  I'd like to use them on all my sites but the cautions are keeping me from it.  On my main website I have the ability to ad Widgets but on the same screen there is a big caution something like:  "Any support will have to come from the Widget maker"

Are there good Widgets and evil Widgets?  Good Widget makers and evil widget makers?

I'd appreciate hearing your experience and comments and would like to be pointed to a good Widget tutorial.

Bob, in my experience with websites, the simpler the better. Buttons can be useful and so is widgets. Over use of widgets really make a website gaudy.

Always think of your audience. Not everyone update their computers on a yearly basis so therefore, your widgets and bells and whistles can slow down the viewing time for some and therefore, they will leave your site.

I did graphics and web design prior to real estate so this is my advice. Hope it helped a bit.

Hi Bob ~ I suggested this as a feature because I know that are quite a few members who can help you and offer some really great advice on Widgets. I hope you get a ton of feedback. I personally cannot offer any advice but I hope to learn more about them here.

I opted out of many widgets in lieu of having my rental listings on my blog's side bar...more interesting
