The areas which I service are all 'big' school draws as well. Good schools make buyers want to live there!

It is very sad to see our school districts trying to figure out how to budget for the year.   In our area, they have charged for busing, and now the possibility of eliminating it all together.

Hi Vickie, The Hood River schools are very good, but soon to get worse as the budget is cut.  This year they tapped reserves; next year reserves are not nearly as much or readily available.

Hey Joan, More and more fees are being charged.  Most of the middle school athletcis are now part of the Community Education programs which is fee based (and very reasonably priced).

All of the budget meetings went very well as the community was concerned and gave thoughtful commentary - no over the top ranting and raving.  Made one proud of the community we live in.
