 In the Houston Real Estate market when my seller asks me to reduce my commission I simply respond with "I AM NOT ON SALE!".  

I explain to the seller that when you pay less you probably get less.   Example: A Mercedes SL 430 looks just like the SL 600 but they are not the same.   You can't pay for the SL 430 and expect it to perform as well as the SL 600.  The same goes for you Houston Realtor

How do you handle it when your seller asks you to discount your services?

that is Great!! I explain that cutting my "Professional Fee"  (never commission) would mean that I would be forced to spend less on advertising and man hours which would mean You would recieve a lower quality of exposure and advertising. 

However, for Senior Customers with mortgages or Service People with a mortgage I have no problem helping them recieve the most for themselves at closing within reason.
