Corey, thanks for the template. I once had a weird experience. A mortgage broker ordered the report through a company they always get it from (I just do not remember the name). And there was information about Capital One account, and it was delinquent. And it affected the score.

The funny part was that we could not remember ever having Capital One account, not could we find it in credit reports done a few year ago. So, we called Capital One, and after all the searches and everything, they confirmed that they have no record of us. They did not find us.

So we called Transunion, and they said they do not have that info. However, the credit report we got shows that this info came from TransUnion.

I called the mortgage broker and he said that it is not a problem, we just need to pay $150 to this processing comany that sent the report and they will deal with it.

We did not do it.

This is a very common occurrance, specifically with Capital One, they regularly reports erroneous info and claim they didint.

The credit bureaus and creditors often make mistakes that cost consumers big time. Thats exactly what my company does, we challenge the integrity of every item on our clients credit reports to esure its accuracy.

Often a simpe dispute letter can help resolve problems like this. In fact, we have a free credit repair kit for minor problems such as this, you can find it located on my Financial Advice Forum here:  http://www.financial-advice-forum.com/free-credit-repair.php.
