The Gathering of Quilters 2011 to be hosted by Heritage Quilters of Crown Point, Indiana
In my life before I became a full time Real Estate Agent I was an avid quilter. I'm still a quilter unfortunately I no long have the time to allow quilting to be the full time obsession it once was.
However I am happy to keep in touch with my quilter friends and keep track of what is going on by reading the Heritage Quilt Guild's Web Site and hanging out at their Facebook page. I'd like to use my blog to invite everyone I know to join Heritage and all of the quilters of NW Indiana and their guest from across the Mid West to come together and celebrate the Gathering of Quilters 2011.
I remember sitting at a quilt show chatting with other ladies about what a good idea it would be to have a once a year gathering to celebrate our passion and now 21 years later it has grown to a two day event with a juried show and cash prizes, national speakers and a good time for all. You don't have to be a quilter to enjoy this event. Everyone who appreciates art and fine handwork will love what is offered by the participants. I started to say ladies but in deference to Frank I had to change my tune. Sorry Frank.
Here is a Quote from the Heritage web site about the Gathering:
Heritage Quilters are very proud and excited to be hosting the 2011 Gathering of Quilters. This show has been a tradition since 1990. The show has attracted visitors from across the Midwest and features many elements that have become a fun and funny yearly tradition for attendees. Come join in the fun and tradition!
