Do you Know a Second Language—The Importance of Knowing a Second Language

A mother bird was telling her little darling baby birds how important it is for them to learn a second language.   They listened intently as she began to instruct them.  However, in the middle of their lesson, the little birds became very hungry.   She them gave careful instructions to stay in the nest while she went off to find food. "Do not wander off as the meowing monster might get one of you," she said.   Then she flew off to find food for her babies.   

Quite naturally, as soon as she left the nest the little birds started out of the nest.  They pretty much stayed together, but they did not wander too far from the nest.  They were having a grand old time outside of the nest. However, they were unaware of the meowing monster that was slowly creeping up on them.  They heard a meow-meow, and did not see the cat, but remarked "oh, that is another language."  Just at the moment when the cat was ready to pounce on the baby birds, the mother bird appeared.  She dropped the food in her mouth and said," Grrrrrr, woof, woof,woof."   The cat ran off. She hurried the baby birds back into the nest and said," see how important it is to know a second language."
