Guilford County Schools, which serves students in Greensboro, High Point, Jamestown, Oak Ridge, Summerfield and other communities in Guilford County, will begin soon begin its Magnet/Choice School Open Enrollment Period for 2011. Don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to check out the fabulous magnet and choice schools in Guilford County. 
Guilford County Magnet/Choice Schools Open Enrollment begins on February 19th and continues through March 18th. During the open enrollment period, there will be many opportunities to learn about the various programs and schools. In addition to visiting individual schools, parents and students may attend the Guilford County Schools Magnet/Choice Fair on Saturday, February 19th from 9-12:30. It will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum Pavilion. Applications will be available online during the open enrollment period at the Guilford County Schools Magnet/Choice website. Applications will also be available at each magnet school.
Guilford County Schools began the Magnet/Choice Schools Program because the "one-size-fits-all" philosophy doesn't apply to education. Guilford Couunty Schools is proud to offer a large and diverse selection of magnet and choice schools. There are 44 magnet/choice schools with 17 different themes. The magnet schools are free to county residents. Check out the information online to determine if one may be a good fit for your student!
