So it begins...
Facebook pages have been sprouting up to try and save our local elementary schools from being closed. Not surprisingly, allegiances are often determined by which school you went to as a kid. These grass roots efforts to inform people reminds me of how personal an issue this has become for so many Ulster County residents. On one hand, it's a strictly economical issue, but the closing of an elementary school has produced some mixed feelings from residents of all age groups and generations.
