Maui Board Meeting With The Whales!

By
Real Estate Agent with Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers R(S)54097

My wife and I joined some friends for a Saturday morning board meeting.  We were out at kamaole 1 Beach, and the whales were having a field day.

Amazing morning on the water, whales put on a amazing show.  Looking for Maui real estate, give me a call.

Working hard, and playing hard on Maui.

Steve, that paddle boarding looks like fun.  When in Dominica we watched from a slightly larger venue.  I believe it was the migration route for the "Blues" if I recall.  No Fear!  Can't recall the specific term when they leap like that?  Can you refresh my memory?

Steve - Those are amazing whale pictures.  Especially that second one with it leaping out of the water.  Just curious however, how close were those gals on the paddle boards to the whales?

I have never been paddle boarding before.  That is something I really want to be able to try some time.  The whales are great too.

Aloha Everyone,

Kevin, when they leap out of the water they are breaching

Myrl, we were about 200 yards away I am guessing.

Steve, you need to try stand up paddling, you can do it any where. In the summer we do down wind runs, 12 miles with the wind blowing at your back.  My wife loves paddling, its addictive.

Rhonda,  your right right across from Kihei Akahi

Steven - amazing whale photos ..... that is a lot of weight to get that far out of the water ..... 200 yards is not very far when it comes to something that big splashing around you

Aloha Kathy,

Actually it was amazing watching them launch out of the water.  The whales know we are there, they are amazing creatures.
