I had a very nearly mystical and wonderful experience tonight. Luckily, I had several others who experienced the same thing so I have witnesses.
We had a wonderul dinner with great jokes, great food and a wonderful camaradarie.
I am going to share one of the recipes because I can't bring you in.

Baby Artichoke, Parmesan and Arugula Salad - Serves 4
6 baby artichokes
1 bunch of argula (rocket), tough stems and leaves removed
Dressing:
1/2 cup of EVOO
2 T. fresh lemon juice
salt to taste (sea salt preferred)
2 oz. of a piece of Parmesan cheese
freshly ground pepper to taste
Trim and slice the artichoes and make the dressing. In a small bowl, whisk the EVOO and lemon juice until creamy. Season with the salt.
Place the argula in a salad bowl. Drain the artichoke slices and pat dry. Add to the greens and toss. Drizzle the dressing over and grate the Parmasan over using a grater or knife into small shavings. Grate pepper over the top.
