Rick, I still have a house on the Eastern Shore in Wachapreague. I have seen values inch up then plummet again. Even those rich New Yorkers can't save the values now.

Cathy … problem with the Eastern shore is it's a long way from No-where.  No jobs unless you want to pick chicken feathers at the Tyson Plant or pick tomatoes in the farm fields.  As a retirement center …. you have to love being in the middle of No-where and the only high end shopping less than 2 hrs away is the local Walmart … and even that can be an hour away from parts of the shore. For summer vacation … relatively … no Atlantic ocean beaches … because of the large tidal barrier islands. But then again that's part of the enjoyment of the Eastern Shore of Va … piece and quiet and good ole fashioned country living. Chesapeake Bay style.  Gotta love the crabs and clams though!
