I just blooged on a report from DSNews.com on the increasing Mortgage FRAUD with FORECLOSURE properties.  California is not ranked the highest in the nation, however, we have our fair share.

We need to do what we can to remove these fraudulent lenders from our industry !

Mortgage fraud is really a thing of the past.  Everyone involved in the lending business nowadays has to undertake many different levels of state and national licensing, background checks, criminal checks, fingerprinting and continuing education.   Mortgage lenders are more scrutinized for fraud prevention than any other individual involved in a real estate transaction.

Zen, great information.  I see so many homeowners who have been taken advantage of; including homeowners who are paying for loan modifications to Realtors.  Scary to see all the challenges out there.
