In an article published in the October 3, 2007 Orange County Register newspaper, Henry Segerstrom, o
wner of South Coast Plaza, still feels bullish about the long term outlook for OC in spite of the current problems facing the real estate and loan industries. While the main focus of the article was the continued growth of the crown jewel shopping center, he did say because of the county’s extremely diverse economy, we will cure these problems. He continues that the 4% unemployment and strong population growth prediction will bring growth even greater than has already been experienced. And who better to benefit from this growth than Henry Segerstrom. Sales for South Coast Plaza are projected to be $1.5 billion this year!
