Remembering Mom - Doris Rachielles
How fortunate I am to have had such a memorable Mom. The difficulty comes with putting this all into words for this Mother's Day.
Remembering someone who was always there with support and love in all of our life activities. Remembering one who gave guidance and wisdom yet let us do our own thing and even make our own mistakes. Remembering a Mom with devotion to Dad and each of us so that we believed that that was just the way life was to be. Remembering Mom when she took on challenges as part of our challenges. Remembering the positive way that she tackled life, but did so with grace. Remembering the faith that she instilled in us without preaching. Remembering that she was a part of the good things that she and Dad did for others, but, like Dad, never took credit. Remembering the devotion to her Dad, Aunt and Uncle, which set an example of responsibility that was so natural. Remembering the joy she had in her sons, grandsons, and our brides - each alike.
Remembering that she is now gone.... and at the same time still here in my memories.
Remembering makes this a Good Mother. Day.
