But what if some of these items or perhaps some others are in really good condition – too good to dump?
You can utilize the Swap Shed, which is a white tent to the right of the Transfer Station entrance, where you can leave those unwanted items in great condition.

Additionally, residents 
can also take advantage of getting FREE mulch or can drop off tree branches to be mulched. Fill up your truck and take the mulch away.
Want to use the Shelton Transfer Station? Just provide proof of residency – a license or ID card with a Shelton address, a Shelton tax bill or utility bill. Homeowners doing work on their homes can drop off construction materials provided they show their Shelton Building Department permit.
The transfer station is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
