Yesterday, I had the distinct pleasure of speaking to the Nigerian Trade Mission to Atlanta as part of the Pan African American Chamber of Commerce. The event was hosted at the World Trade Center in the SunTrust building in Downtown Atlanta.
The Pan African American Chamber of Commerce was recently formed to help promote trade to and from Nigeria.
As part of my presentation, I spoke to the delegates about the benefits of owning real estate in the U.S. Most of the land in Nigeria is government owned, so this is not a concept all that familiar to them. I spoke to them about the benefits of real estate ownership, as well as the different types of real estate they could purchase, such as land, condominiums, rental property and commerical property.
They certainly were some of the most receptive and cordial people I've ever been around.
I even ran into an old co-worker from my hotel days and we reconnected.
After my presentation I was asked several questions about owning real estate in the U.S. and Georgia. I think I answered the questions.
