For 29 years, a remote Idaho ranch has been a getaway and home for chart-topping singer-songwriter Carole King and now, King's home is listed on the Stanley real estate market for $16 million.

Situated 20 minutes outside Stanley in central Idaho, the property is surrounded by protected forest managed by the U.S. Forest Service in the White Cloud and Sawtooth Mountains. The prestigious Sun Valley ski resort is less than an hour and a half away.

At age 70, King has had a prolific music career writing hits like the 1960s song "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" and "The Reason" in 1997 for Celine Dion. In the first half of the 1970s, her album "Tapestry" was the top-selling record until Michael Jackson's "Thriller" in 1982. King also holds the record for the longest time on the charts for an album by a female.

King's 129-acre compound features a restored two-story 7,337-square-foot lodge overlooking Warm Spring's Creek. The 5-bedroom, 2-bath main house still retains its rustic quality with exposed log walls and ceiling, handmade wood furniture and wood-burning stone fireplaces.

Also included on the compound are a 1,825-square-foot caretaker's home and a 2,046-square-foot owner's home. King designed a separate recording studio, which has an upper level guest apartment with kitchenette and stone bath and shower. There are also eight cabins, two pools, equestrian facility and greenhouse located on the property.

The home utilizes natural geothermal springs to heat two pools, recording studio and main home year round.

Wow, the photos are amazing.  What a slice of paradise this place is.  I understand $16million is quite a bit of money but it seems well worth it for this estate.  How can you place a value on that scenery?
