This is Kirby. He is my grand-dog. I have been house-sitting with Kirby since last Thursday. He misses his family especially the little rug rats.
Just the mention of them coming home soon perks ups his ears!
Dogs are so unconditional in giving their love and attention; they offer it freely just from the sound of your voice no matter what you might be saying to them.
But if you leave them home alone they are taking ownership!

Cool dog. If I remember right, those dogs are very soft and fluffy to the touch. And very loving with their people. You are very fortunate.
What a cutie! Now how could they leave that darling at home? Guess that gives you quality time with the grand dog. That seems like a very enjoyable task. They do tend to pout when they miss family but I imagine like any good grand dog mom you will turn him back over very spoiled! Have a great Wednesday!
It is a great day, thank you Connie; I will probably give Kirby an extra hug or two but I don't think I can compare to the kids that play with him every day.
We've got grand-dogs too. Thankfully we've never been asked to dog sit. I've got allergies and it would never work out.
This my first ever dog-sit and today is the last day. Kirby most of known as he had a nice little surprise for me when I got there today.
Teral, I am looking after Tessa, our Australian Shepherd, while my wife is away in Florida. She'll be home tomorrow. Tessa will be very glad to see her.
I would, Joni, but I think Kirby likes the grandkids more than me. It's a thought though.
That puppy is CRAZY cute. My friends parents use to have 4 of them and they were so much fun when we were kids to play with.
4 of them! oh wow, that's a lot of puppy and they are fun to play with. Kirby has 3 children in the home to keep him occupied. If they aren't playing with him my DIL is. Thanks for sharing with me, John.
