Time To Bring The Light!

By

I have been blogging on Active Rain since March of 2008.  For the first two years of my blogging I wrote a lot of spiritual and inspiration type of posts because I spend a lot of time studying that material and living it out in my life.  After a short break from blogging I came back last fall and leaned toward writing Real Estate and personal story type of materials.

I have noticed that I really miss writing about the LIGHT!  You see the driving force of GOOD that supports, surrounds and upholds me is my spiritual connection to the universe, God, Christ.  If that's a big part of my day and a driving force to how I think, feel and act, then it does not make sense to not occasionally or even often write about that part of me. I like to make my blogging personal and Real Estate related.

In fact by not writting about this side of me I am missing an opportunity to tune in for those minutes a day that I spend writing.  Normally I need to think about what I write about, and there again is another time that I can dwell in the presence of the spirit.

There are so many things we can spend time doing, and for me a larger portion of my day needs to be committed to THINGS OF GOD.  My life just does not work as well when only a smaller portion of time is being devoted to my spiritual relationship.

I am sure its the same for some of you as well, so I encourage you to BRING THE LIGHT!

Every morning starts with my Bible and my devotional. It doesn't matter how early I have to get up, the first 1/2 hour goes to God......just the way it has to be for me to get my day going in the right direction.

Thank you Chuck,

I will be subscribing to your blog post and I hope to read many great messages from you!

I feel the same way that you do, I must write about the Gospel message, because it is the power of God to transform the world, but even more it is how I spend my time. I cannot live apart from Christ, therefore, I feel compelled to write what I spend my time doing.

I also need to come up with messages to have for St. Clair County jail (prison fellowship and The Gideons) ministry that I am involved with. So many times I incorporate a piece of my message or thoughts that I'll be using as part of the message that is laid upon my heart.

May God Bless you richly and you share His Love,

Rejoicing Always in Christ, crucified and alive forevermore!
