I am surprised that this house hasn't sold yet. It is so cool looking and right on the canal. What more could you want?

Rich - I'm sure the right buyer will come along any minute now - I would take it for me in a heart beat.

Gena - I took the picture of the iguana from the dock and posted it to see if anyone would say anything - YOU GOT ME!

Thanks for posting http://activerain.com/blogsview/23773/1132-NE-1-5th.  I like the price range listings I have seen around the country.  We can't do price ranges here but maybe some day!

Being a Miami girl (many years ago), I used to have a pet iguana.  I miss the area and the beautiful waterways.  You have certainly presented this home in a most desirable fashion...wish I could convince my husband to leave NY!

Gail - Miami Girl??  That's great!  My kids had a pet iguana a couple of years ago as well.  Take a look at this one I posted in Miamism.com  - the picture was taken at this property.

Ines,

Having an iguana as a pet is like having a chicken!  Beautiful home and right on the water, it is a HOT property.  With those views I would not care what the inside looks like, the features inside are a bonus.

Ines,

How big is that iguana?  He looks huge!

I like the property's slanted wall of windows!  It looks cool!

Thanks,

Lucky :)

Lucky, the one in the picture is not that big but take a look at this one I included in Miamism - It has to be about 6 feet (tail included of course).  That room with the slanted windows has a great nautical feel to it.  To soften the angle, the owners did window seating all the way around and it works great.

Ines, love the house and especially the slated wall...how innovative. The best part is that it comes with its own pet.

Gena - you are so funny, did you see your previous comment?

Barbara - thank you and thank you!!  Have a couple of showing today for this one!

This property was rented seasonally in January 2007 and just came back on the market at a reduced price.  Although the market is slow, anyone getting into this property would be lucky because of the land, the water frontage, and the ocean access.
