I, like so many of you are in a patriotic mood this weekend. And while the 4^th of July is about the Declaration of Independence; I think I can tie in the Civil War…both events caused brave men/women to risk their lives for a way of life they believed in. It is about honoring those that have done and continue to do that for us.

4th of July My husband is a huge fan of the History Channel…there are a few shows I will agree to watch. One of them is the American Pickers…recently I saw Mike Wolfe in a video about the Civil War. There is a project called Give 150 to Preserve our Past and Protect our Future. It is the 150^th anniversary of the Civil War; a time to join the History Channel in preserving the civil war sites (being lost at an acre an hour).

Paying it Forward to those who have given me the chance to live freely is an easy choice.
