Staging a home in South Chandler makes a difference

Home Stager with Renaissance Home Staging & Redesign

Staging a home in South Chandler makes a difference.  A cliet of mine recently was a bit skeptical about whether services of a stager could help them move a property.

The link to You Tube  http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_edit?ns=1&video_id=TMqIMY2P_Rw&next=%2Fmy_videos, demonstrates that providing a buyer with more of a visual than just empty rooms, and bare walls can increase traffic.

In fact, I found 5 realtors and brokers' business cards left inside the home,  after the property was staged, confirming that staging a home in South Chandler makes a difference.     In just 1 week there was significant traffic, multiple offers, and this property sold.

The property showed well, and issues that were problems prior to putting the home on the market were "corrected".  Part of staging a home in South Chandler included updating the den.  As a stager I had to be honest with the seller, and tell them that they would not be able to sell the property for  the price they wanted, if they didn't fix it,.. and his handyman and realtor felt there was nothing that could be done.  Hmmm, then  imagine what a potential buyer and other realtors might think.

Some times stagers have to be so honest,..it's painful.  But it's even more painful to sit on a property,  because people are afraid to confront the issues head on with a seller.  Hopefully the seller now realizes that  it is better to get more than one opinion when it comes to marketing your property.

Liz - So true, so true.  They always say its difficult for seller's to put themselves into the shoes of home buyers and see their homes through fresh eyes.  Part of the benefit for realtors is that they can enlist the help of home stagers in breaking the news to the sellers that the Chartreuse entryway wall color might just not be the best way to greet potential buyers.  Nice post!

Carol,.. I'm from Upper Michigan, and I cannot believe how poorly the MLS pictures show.  So many of their homes are literally in shambles.  The house I did was in much better condition in Arizona, but all it takes is one room to hurt your chances of selling a property.   That is why I posted it like I did.  Structurally the den looked "okay",....and the window seat the former owners had put in the kitchen area  was "okay".   You didn't realize that was a problem until you wanted to eat in the kitchen.  --And let us not forget that the window seat obstructed the view of the back yard.

The windows were okay...but they hadn't been cleaned since the place was built, and I had to scrape off years of grime on the outside so you could see the pool from the garden tub, etc. etc.

It's all in the details, and as stagers we probably see more of the details than the realtors, cleaning crew, or a handyman.
