I love the movie "Martian Child". It is one of my favorite movies of all time. I could watch it forever...and have seen it so many times. John Cusack tells the very troubled but gifted little boy at a baseball game, that baseball players have it great because they just have to get a little bit better to be a Super Star! He makes a big deal and creates a rather large emphasis on "just a little bit better". If every day we strive to improve how we do business in real estate and to improve how we help our clients just that little bit....over time we can achieve great things. I love that analogy because it helps us realize that we can not build it in a day, a month or a year. That successful and dynamic business we desire comes with attention and planning day by day. We are building for the future each and every day in all we do. Keep learning--it never stops...that learning part. You don't get to the "full" level when it comes to learning. I continue to get out in the blogosphere and to feel the markets and what's trending in real estate. If we are alert, it allows us to prepare for the future. I continue to develop niche markets off perceptions of the market and how it is trending. It has always worked well for me. Build it and they will come--is a great motto for this market. As you see the opportunity for a new niche or a transition coming to a current niche, incorporate it into your Internet marketing and Web presence. It may mean a new blog site or just transitional marketing on an old site. It may mean a new way to market and sustain a market. Alertness is everything in this market. Relationships keep growing--your business relationships are the foundation of your business and the future of your business development. Keep you SOI informed about the changes you are making and how this trending market affects your business and their investments. It's a good thing! Those are some pretty good points on how to get just a "Little Bit Better". Hopefully, it will be a home run out of the ball park for you! We all have the power to be Super Stars.....just like in Baseball. We just have to keep getting a "little bit better"! I am Jeanean Gendron, your Redding and Shasta County Specialist. Great post Jeanean, you have inspired me to get a little bit better today. Thanks.
Thank you for the inspiration. Nice post. I strive to get a little bit better each day and have learned so much here on AR.
Lovely post and some great sentiments to start the day - thanks and enjoy the weekend!
Jeanean - this is the best advise ever! How easy is it to be "just a little bit better"? We can all do that in everything we do. I like the idea of applying this to everything we do - business, relationships, our own health...whatever we do we can be just a little bit better! Priceless advise. I suggested this one!
Al, thanks for the visit and read. When I look for ways to stay positive in the current climate of uncertainty these are the things I hold on to. Even though there is uncertainty, the best action is to remain positive and to perform positive action. Overtime, it will prevail.
Gita, thank you for coming by to comment. I think that in general the AR membership does just that...work hard to become better at our profession. Have a wonderful weekend.
Virginia, thanks for stopping by and commenting. Yes...it is the beginning of a great weekend. Enjoy your weekend, as well.
Faith, thanks for the stop by and read. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the day!
Barbara, thank you for adding to the value of this post. Your comment is a wonderful summary of it's intention. Life seems hard at times until we remember the inner knowings of success. Thank you for such kind words!
