Suffern NY Middle School - Orientation
I can hardly believe that the summer is coming to a close and that its almost time to head back to school. For those kids starting middle school the start of the school year is a time of new beginnings and the start of another stage in their school life.
To help them with the transition from grade school to middle school the Ramapo Central School District is hosting orientation on two days prior to the start of school.
The first orientation day is scheduled for Wednesday August 17 from 9:00AM to 2:00PM.
The second one is scheduled for Tuesday August 30 from 9:00Am to 2:00PM.
It's designed for the incoming 6th graders and gives them a chance to visit the school, pick up their schedules and get their locker assignments so that when school starts on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 they'll be familiar with their new home.
And, so that you come well prepared, here's the Suffern Middle school Grade 6 School Supply List:
Two 2" binders
Dividers to separate sections in binders
Reinforced loose leaf
Pens, pencils, highlighters
4x6 Index cards
Mechanical pencil sharpener
Pencil cases to fit n binders
2 pocket folders
Sketchbook for art
2 marble notebooks
Small ruler
3 glue sticks
Colored pencils
Make sure you label your supplies with your full name before school starts.
