Speaking of Accountability

Yes, I was. Why is it that when borrowers trash their homes, remove appliances that were bought with the house, turn off heat so the plumbing freezes and mold develops, and leave the house full of filthy personal property, they are not held accountable? Not only did they sign a promise that they would pay the payments, they also agreed to keep the property in good repair. A few lawsuits could change that type of blatant  “spit in your face” behavior.

Melissa, I agree, that they should be responsible for the cleanup, however, where do you find these folks after they leave? Europe, California, Canada, Mexico, South America, Australia, Russia, New York, New Jersy, Illinois, Chicago? Where? And if you find them, how do you get them to pay the cost of cleaning up the place, they did not pay the mortgage in the first place!!!

The reason they trash the home is,they are mad that the bank took back the home because they forgot to pay.

Actually, many of them just move down the street. The government can find anyone they send a check to.
