Where can you find a free holiday light display with over one million twinkling lights which span more than 14 blocks? A Glendale tradition, in the very heart of historic downtown Glendale, Glendale Glitters will kick into full swing beginning November 23, 2007. This event is sponsored by SRP and will feature many of the Valley's best performers and musical and dance entertainment in downtown Murphy Park.
This year the event will kick off with a Vegas-style stage show featuring swing dancers, counting down to the very moment, with a flip of the switch -- the official lighting of the entire event!
Decorations are bigger and better this year with new designs and simulated fireworks lights. Many events will take place with multiple stages of music and dance, food, seasonal merchandise, a children's winter wonderland, horse-drawn carriage rides, shopping and, of course, visits with Jolly Ol' St. Nick.
While leisurely strolling through the over 90 specialty and antique boutiques, as well as the many eateries, you can enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and take in all the ambience the season has to offer under a cascade of twinkling lights! What a wonderful way to enjoy a night out with family and/or friends.

Carriage ride information:
. The carriage rides can seat 4-6 people.
. The ride is approximately 10 minutes long.
. The cost is $25 per ride (not per passenger).
. The carriages will be available nightly through Glitter & Glow, including Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
. On non-event nights, the rides are available from 6 - 9 p.m. On event nights, they are available during event hours.
