Homes for Heroes | George Moriarty

I’ve been a full-time police officer for over 23 yrs. in a small city in western Massachusetts. My two cousins, who were my best friends growing up, both served for their country. One cousin was in the Army Rangers seeing action in Panama, and the other cousin was in the the Air Force serving two tours in Afghanistan. One cousin is now a full time fire fighter/paramedic, and the other cousin is a full-time police officer. I started my second career as a realtor in 2006 and found that my success came from my own principles, as well as those taught to me as a police officer. The same principles of honesty and intergrity that are tought to our servicemen and women. By joining the Homes For Heroes program, I will be able to give back to those who give more than most. The average citizen forgets that we work nights, weekends, outside in the elements, holidays and long grueling hours. We miss birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas mornings. We do it because that’s who we are and we’re not looking for praise. It’s just nice when once and a while someone recognizes are sacrifices. Homes For Heroes recognizes those sacrifices and that’s why I’m proud to be affiliated with Homes For Heroes. I look forward to serving my fell
