Why didn't I get a check at closing? Avoid Fowler White Burnett in Miami

The buyer needed to sign Wednesday to keep their lock. The Seller signed Thursday morning at 9:30 AM in Miami. We asked that the person presenting the papers bring my check. They said they couldn't fund until the afternoon. Has anyone this happen? It used to be we would get a check at closing. Is this just laziness on the part of Miami Attorney's? “Olga” said she sent my check out Friday, I only takes a day for mail to get here from Miami. If it was funded on Thursday, why didn’t my check go out then?  No check Saturday, no check today. Be sure to avoid these people for your closings.
