Today's the big day folks, lets get out there and vote! The big one in Union County is the Real Property Transfer Tax. Previously posted details explain what a bad idea it is, a tax on the seller (in addition to annual property taxes) that will most likely be passed on to the buyer on every real property sale. Make sure you Vote Against the Union County Real Property Transfer Tax.

A major issue on the ballot today for Mecklenburg County is the Transit Tax. This one is a little bit tricky on the ballot... basically, if you are against the transit tax you will want to vote for repeal. If you are for the transit tax, you'll want to vote against repeal. Also on the table is the $516,000,000 school bond referrendum. This item was voted down by a record margin last time, but some say with a better School Board in place this is a vote for growth. While others maintain that it is an urban vs. suburban issue. Where do you stand? Give your opinion in the voting booth, where it counts.

We have a lot of important issues on the ballot, and this is your chance to make your voice heard. Polls are open until 7:30, so get out there and cast your vote today!
